Dateline: Wed. morning, Sept. 28, 2016 around 9 a.m. along Santa Monica Beach between the Santa Monica Pier and Ocean Park, an approximate one mile stretch of beach along which the City of Santa Monica continues to not hand pick up the trash between the water line and the berm... See for yourself in the following numerous photos and a video which proves that the City continues to not hand pick or otherwise clean up the trash on the beach between the water line and the berm.

Dead bird below... looks like a cormorant... I wonder how long this will remain on the beach... If, indeed, the City of Santa Monica has staff that hand picks trash along the shoreline as the City has said that it does... then how could they miss this?!... Answer: because the City staff does not hand pick up the trash along the shoreline.
Below, this discarded/lost child beverage container was also on the beach in this same area between the berm and the water line this past Monday, Sept. 26th, in our earlier blog post...
This piece of styrofoam below was also on the beach this past Monday and has since not been disposed of by the City of Santa Monica...
I disposed of these five (5) discarded beer bottles so that no one else stepped on them or otherwise broke them leading to injuries...
Below, five (5) more empty and discarded bottles left behind by beach goers yesterday and not collected or otherwise hand picked and disposed of by the City...
Forget going the "extra mile"... we would be happy if the City just did its job and would, in fact, hand pick up the trash between the water line and the berm as they say they do... but which they obviously do not do...

In any event, in an effort to see the positive side of things at the beach in Santa Monica it was another stunning and beautiful morning as the following three (3) photos attest!...
