Just Another Day of #BeachTrash + a Dead Bird in #SantaMonica: Friday, Sept. 15, 2017

Dead Bird near the water's edge just south of the World Famous Santa Monica Pier
Dateline: Friday morning, September 15, 2017, along the shoreline between the Santa Monica Pier and Ocean Park and back to the Pier... Here are the photos showing a sampling of the #beachtrash plus a dead bird left uncollected and NOT otherwise hand picked and removed from the beach by the City of Santa Monica which continues to NOT daily remove #beachtrash near the water's edge.

Above and below, a group of VOLUNTEERS hand picking up #beachtrash!  This is certainly welcome news. On the other hand, you will NEVER see a group like this employed by the City of Santa Monica hand picking up #beachtrash!...

Below, the line in the sand where the City tractors stop and do not go closer to the water's edge. It is this area closest to the water's edge that the City continues to ignore AND not DAILY hand pick and remove of #beachtrash...

LAPD Helicopter overhead...

Santa Monica Police / Harbor Patrol patrolling the beach...

I continue to find this beverage pouch product, CAPRI SUN, which is a kid's favorite.  What happens is that a parent will give this to their child and then the child will drink it and then throw it on the sand and forget about it and so will the parent...  #ParentingFail

This is an opportunity for this brand owner to educate its customers to NOT litter.

Empty and discarded glass beer bottles near the water's edge at Bay St. IGNORED by the City of Santa Monica because it lacks the integrity to have even ONE person to walk the shoreline to see if there is dangerous #beachtrash that should be collected and removed.  The City of Santa Monica's continued negligence represents a public health and safety issue.

When is the State of California going to step in and require that the City of Santa Monica DAILY remove #beachtrash near the water's edge that represents a public health and safety hazard?!...

Below, an empty and discarded glass bottle of MODELO® beer, the No. 1 most likely beer brand to be left as #beachtrash in Santa Monica...

Below is #beachtrash near the water's edge that I found this morning right out in the open near the water's edge that the City of Santa Monica SHOULD HAVE picked up and removed but did not do so because the City is lazy and does not care.

Right near the water's edge and RIGHT OUT FRONT of luxury hotel, CASA DEL MAR...

I returned to Bay St. about an hour later and no surprise the bottles and other #beachtrash were still there...
