North of the Pier: Santa Monica Beach Trash Report, Tuesday, July 11, 2017

Dateline: At and after 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 11, 2017, north of the Santa Monica Pier, I walked near the water's edge from the Pier north to lifeguard tower #13 and back to the pier. That is a distance of approximately 1/3rd of a mile (approximately).

Here are the photos I took of the enormous amount of #beachtrash left uncollected and NOT disposed of by the City of Santa Monica north of the world famous Santa Monica Pier. Yet further evidence of the fact that the City does not, in fact, hand pick up #beachtrash near the water's edge daily or every day.

Above and below, a sea gull picking at a discarded and empty plastic bag of OREO® cookies... because the City of Santa Monica does NOT, in fact, hand pick up #beachtrash EVERY DAY despite a recent statement by its Mayor to the contrary, which turns out to be yet another misrepresentation by the City with respect to daily collection and disposal of #beachtrash on a daily/every day basis.

That's it!... but that's really MORE THAN ENOUGH #beachtrash near the water's edge at Santa Monica State Beach north of the Santa Monica Pier, don't ya think!?...

Respectfully submitted,
