Part II: Sunday, July 16, 2017, Santa Monica Beach Trash Report

Part II, the continuation of the enormous amount of #beachtrash along Santa Monica State Beach observed on Sunday, July 16, 2017, uncollected and not removed or disposed of by the City of Santa Monica.

Approaching the Santa Monica Pier...

Under the Santa Monica Pier...

On the south side of the Santa Monica Pier...

Check out this beer carton full of empty glass beer bottles sitting right near the water's edge after 11 a.m. on a Sunday!...  The City of Santa Monica sucks at #beachtrash collection!

Right smack dab next to the Santa Monica Pier and the City of Santa Monica is UNABLE to even pick up this carboard carton full of empty glass beer bottles!...  Despicable!

Additional empty glass bottles I found near the water's edge and next to families including small children, which I picked up and disposed of... thus doing more with my one hand in the collection of #beachtrash this morning at Santa Monica State Beach than the City of Santa Monica is apparently capable of doing...

Below, a series of photos out front of luxury hotels SHUTTERS AT THE BEACH, and HOTEL CASA DEL MAR (note the orange umbrellas and beach chairs.  The hotel beach valet is at left below
and apparently he is also incapable of picking up #beachtrash near where the hotel guests sit under the umbrellas near the water's edge.  So neither the City of Santa Monica or the hotel beach valet are able to hand pick up #beachtrash. Welcome to Santa Monica State Beach!...

An empty glass beer bottle I found in the sand out front of SHUTTERS AT THE BEACH. Note the hotel beach valet who has not bothered to pick this up, not to mention the City of Santa Monica.

Below, a used diaper sits in the soft dry sand right behind the SHUTTERS AT THE BEACH orange beach umbrellas and hotel guests!  How nice!  $500 per nite and a used diaper at the shoreline!...
Welcome to Santa Monica State Beach and its luxury hotels...

On my return trip back to where I started there remains #beachtrash near the water's edge north of the Santa Monica Pier...

Below, it's now 2:26 pm and I am back out front of the Beach Club, near the northern edge of the City of Santa Monica and this #beachtrash I collected and placed together earlier today after 10 a.m. is STILL THERE uncollected and not disposed of by the City of Santa Monica...  yet another bit of evidence of the failure of the City of Santa Monica to DAILY hand pick up #beachtrash near the water's edge, in spite of the City's multiple statements to the contrary.

The City of Santa Monica is INCAPABLE of daily or even regularly cleaning Santa Monica State Beach and the State of California should remove the City from this duty, as well as removing the City's right to collect beach parking fees. Another organization with the commitment and integrity to clean up #beachtrash daily near the water's edge should be selected for this duty and for the right to collect beach parking fees.

Respectfully submitted,
